Film „The seven Tapes of Yona Wallach“ – a special film screening

Aleph – special film screening: „The seven Tapes of Yona Wallach“ (German title: „Die sieben Rollen der Yona Wallach“.
To mark the UN International Mother Language Day, the "Aleph Festival – Celebrating Hebrew"  launches its first global cycle of events dedicated to the Hebrew language, and for the opening of the festival, we premiere the film telling the story of the groundbreaking queer Israeli poet Yona Wallach (1943–1984), whose work reshaped the landscape of Hebrew poetry.

The screening will be followed by a conversation with the film’s director and creator, Yair Qedar.

Zur Feier des Internationalen Tages der Muttersprache eröffnet das „Aleph Festival der Hebräischen Sprache“ die erste globale, der hebräischen Sprache gewidmete Veranstaltungsreihe mit einer Deutschlandpremiere des Films „Die sieben Rollen der Yona Wallach“ über die bahnbrechende queere israelische Dichterin Yona Wallach (1943-1984), deren Werk die hebräische Dichtung neu prägte. Die Filmvorführung findet in Anwesenheit des Regisseurs statt. Im Anschluss an den Film wird eine Diskussion in englischer Sprache angeboten.

Die Diskussion am Ende wird auf Englisch ohne Übersetzung stattfinden. At the end, the conversation will take place in english without translation.

Aufgrund der fehlenden FSK-Prüfung ist der Film erst ab 18 Jahren freigegeben. Due to the lack of an FSK age rating, the film is only approved for viewers aged 18 and above.
