Erich Stern

Erich Stern was born on 30 October 1889 in Berlin. He was a well-known psychiatrist, psychologist and pedagogue. In 1919 he married Käthe Braun (born on November 28, 1893 in Hamburg). The two had a daughter, Hilde, born in 1920. Persecuted as Jewish in Germany, the Stern family emigrated to France where they survived the Holocaust. Erich Stern died in Kilchberg near Zurich in 1959, Käthe Stern in Cornebarrieu in 1984. The only daughter Hilde, later Hélène Stern, died in Toulouse in 2010.
